Welcome to O'hara Irish Pub, a vibrant slice of Ireland nestled on the scenic Passeig Esplanada d'Espanya in Alicante, Spain. This charming establishment brings the warmth and cheer of a traditional Irish pub to the heart of the Mediterranean. Whether you are returning from a long day of sightseeing or simply seeking a cozy spot to unwind, O'hara offers the perfect atmosphere to relax and enjoy.
As one reviews the experience awaiting patrons at O'hara, delightful mentions of a decent pint of Guinness and crisp Bulmers cider provide a hint of the authentic Irish beverages that await you. The ambiance is enhanced by friendly staff who greet you with a smile and a heartfelt "Gracias," embodying the inviting spirit of this pub. The generous selections of drinks, particularly their affordable and well-prepared cocktails, ensure there's something for everyone to enjoy.
The food at O'hara also deserves a spotlight. Guests rave about the delicious nachos—a crowd favorite that doesn't skimp on the toppings. This remains a common theme in reviews, with patrons highlighting the option to grab a quick snack while soaking in the lively pub atmosphere. However, some guests have pointed out that, despite the tasty offerings, the establishment could benefit from a touch of tender loving care, particularly in terms of cleanliness.
As you explore O'hara, take note of the spacious settings, which lend themselves to both relaxed conversations and spirited games of pool in the upstairs area. While the establishment misses a beat in upkeep at times, clean washrooms and a cozy outdoor seating area provide ample opportunity to enjoy the splendid Alicante weather while sipping your drink of choice.
In summary, O'hara Irish Pub stands out as a delightful stop for both tourists and locals seeking a casual atmosphere filled with good drinks and hearty company. While there is room for improvement in cleanliness and tidiness, the essence of Irish hospitality shines through in its offerings and staff companionship. So, whether you're looking to immerse yourself in local culture with a “gargle” or share laughs with friends in a bustling environment, consider O'hara your next destination in Alicante.

Visited this Irish pub in Alicante with my daughter. The beer was great, but the cocktails were a bit too strong for her liking. It’s a very spacious place, though it could definitely use a bit of TLC — the dust was thick enough to notice even from where we were sitting. The toilets were clean, which is always a plus, and there’s an upstairs area with a pool table, though it wasn’t particularly tidy (perhaps because it’s October and a quieter time of year). There’s also a small outdoor seating area where you can enjoy your drinks. Overall, an okay experience — plenty of space and good beer, but the place could do with a proper clean and a bit of care to make it feel more welcoming.
